IEC 60320 defines the appliance couplers used on almost every piece of detachable-cord equipment. C13 and C14 are the familiar computer and monitor pair at 10 A, C15 and C16 add a higher temperature rating for kettles and heated equipment, C19 and C20 carry 16 A for servers and PDUs, and the small C5, C7 and C8 couplers serve notebook adaptors and audio equipment.
Cord length, cable gauge and type, jacket colour and the connector at the appliance end are set per order. Complete OEM services are available.

How It Is Made
The plug is moulded directly onto the cable on our own tooling, so there is no screw joint and no field wiring. The company runs first class producing equipment and advanced mould processing equipment, and quality control is applied at each stage rather than only at the end.
This group covers straight and right-angle bodies, left and right angle variants, and locking C13 connectors that resist being pulled out of a rack outlet. Cords are supplied plug-to-connector or as jumper cords with a connector at both ends.

Questions About IEC 60320 Power Cords
What is the difference between C13 and C15?
They share the same shape but C15 has a notch and a higher temperature rating, so a C15 cord fits a C14 inlet while a C13 cord will not fit a C16 inlet.
When should I use C19 and C20?
On equipment drawing up to 16 A, typically servers, large UPS units and rack power distribution.
What does a locking C13 do?
It latches into the outlet so the cord cannot be pulled out accidentally when other cables are moved in the rack.
Can you make jumper cords?
Yes. C14 to C13, C20 to C19 and other jumper combinations are standard builds.
