Indoor extension cords put a NEMA 5-15R outlet on the end of a 5-15P cord so an appliance can reach a distant socket. This range includes single-outlet cords, cords with a lighted end so you can see at a glance that the circuit is live, and cords with two or three outlets moulded into one body.

How It Is Made
The plug is moulded directly onto the cable on our own tooling, so there is no screw joint and no field wiring. The company runs first class producing equipment and advanced mould processing equipment, and quality control is applied at each stage rather than only at the end.
Cable is normally 16/2 or 16/3 SPT-2 and SPT-3 parallel cord, moving up to 14/3 and 12/3 jacketed cord where the load is higher. All builds carry UL and cUL approval.

Which gauge should I choose?
Heavier gauge carries more current with less voltage drop. 16 AWG suits light loads, 14 AWG general use and 12 AWG longer runs or higher loads.
What does the lighted end do?
A small indicator in the outlet body lights when the cord is energised, which makes it obvious that the circuit is live.
Can I have more than one outlet?
Yes. Two-outlet and three-outlet bodies are both standard in this range.
Are indoor cords suitable for outdoor use?
No. Outdoor use needs a W rated jacketed cord from our outdoor range.
