IT Equipment and Data Centres
Rack power is a clearance problem before it is an electrical one. Right-angle bodies, locking connectors and short jumper lengths are what make a cabinet manageable.
Servers, switches and PDUs use the IEC 60320 coupler family almost exclusively: C13 and C14 at 10 A, C19 and C20 at 16 A. In a full cabinet the problem is not the rating but the space behind the equipment and the risk of pulling the wrong cord while working on the next unit.
We build right-angle and left-angle C13 and C14 bodies, locking C13 connectors that latch into the outlet, and jumper cords cut to the exact rack pitch instead of coiled behind the rails.
What We Do About It
- Locking C13 connectors that will not be pulled out accidentally
- Right and left angle bodies for shallow cabinets
- Jumper lengths cut to the rack pitch rather than a stock length
- LSZH construction available for equipment rooms and enclosed spaces
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between C13 and C19?
C13 is the 10 A coupler used on most rack equipment. C19 is the larger 16 A coupler used on servers, large UPS units and PDUs.
Do you make locking cords?
Yes. Locking C13 connectors and NEMA twist-lock cord sets are both in our range.
Can you supply LSZH cords for an equipment room?
Yes, LSZH cord sets are a standard part of the range.
