Specifying an EVA Foam Mat That Matches the Application
Where This Normally Goes Wrong
Most flooring complaints come from a specification mismatch, not from a manufacturing defect: a 1 cm tile under a squat rack, or an 80 kg/m3 tatami mat sold into a toddler playroom.
This page sets out the four variables we adjust - density, hardness, thickness and size - and how each one changes the way the finished floor behaves.
How the Process Runs
Density
70-75 kg/m3 for standard training, home and play mats. 80 kg/m3 for tatami and rubber-blend tiles that carry impact or equipment.
Hardness
Shore C 36 on the standard lines. Shore A 38-45 on the tatami and rubber-blend lines.
Thickness
1 cm to 4 cm, customizable. Thin tiles for yoga and display floors, thick tiles for ground work and impact zones.
Size
30x30 cm, 50x50 cm and 60x60 cm across most lines. 60x60 cm on the rubber blend, 100x100 cm on tatami. All customizable.
Surface
Embossed solid colour, printed film, suede lamination or open drainage grid.
Colour
Black, grey and blue are the popular stock colours. Custom colours are available for branded programmes.

1 cm to 4 cm, customizable, across the standard lines.

Custom colours are available. Send us your reference and we will match it at the sampling stage.
Which density should I choose?
70-75 kg/m3 covers general training, home and play use. Choose 80 kg/m3 where the floor takes throws or heavy equipment.
