The buyer is not named in our project records. What is documented is the screen itself: a 300sqm outdoor rental wall supplied on MSR-X-3 cabinets for an event at Auditorio TELMEX in Zapopan, Mexico, in January 2018. A wall of that size on rental cabinets is bought by a rental and staging operation rather than by a venue.

Solution

Our Solution

The wall was supplied on outdoor rental cabinets from the X Series: die-cast aluminium at 26 to 28kg per square metre in 500x500mm and 500x1000mm formats, with a hanging structure for truss rigging, fast lock with high precision positioning, angle adjustment for curved builds, and front and rear access so a module can be pulled from whichever side the crew can reach.

Soldering inspection and module ageing test before assembly
Cabinet assembly and flatness alignment on the assembling line
Screen installation test with the cabinets built up as a wall
Screen ageing test before the wall was dismantled and packed

Cabinets were packed together with spare modules, receiving cards and power supplies so the crew had field spares from the first event rather than waiting on a second shipment.

Testing

Quality Control

Modules passed soldering inspection and an ageing test, and the cabinets were built up as a wall in the factory for a screen installation test and a screen ageing test, which is what matches brightness and colour across cabinets before they ship.
