Each stage below exists because something goes wrong without it. The problem is named first, then what we do about it.
Construction
Problem. Buying silk by colour instead of by weave gives the wrong drape on the finished garment.
Every fabric is listed by weave and momme weight, so you choose construction first: habotai, chiffon, twill, crepe de chine, charmeuse, georgette, crepe satin, stretch satin or organza.
Weight
Problem. Momme numbers mean little without a gram weight to compare against other fabrics.
We state momme and the gram weight it converts to, using 1 momme equals 4.3056 grams per square metre.
Sampling
Problem. Mill minimums stop a designer testing two weaves side by side.
Stock fabric goes out from one metre, so you can sample two constructions before committing.
Dyeing
Problem. Brand colours drift when dyeing is subcontracted without a reference.
Send the Pantone number and we dye to it; stock colours are held in a range of thicknesses and widths.
Printing
Problem. Wide fabric often has to be pieced because the print bed is too narrow.
Our print widths run 90, 114, 140 and 190 cm, and the machine handles silk, cotton, linen, tencel, rayon and polyester.
Delivery
Problem. Fabric shipped loose arrives creased and marked.
Goods are inspected, rolled or folded and packed before shipment with DHL, FedEx, UPS or TNT.

- The group has been manufacturing scarves and garments since 2005.
- A research and development team was set up in 2015 to develop new patterns and products.
- Suzhou JL Silk Co., Ltd, the export trading company, was established in 2017.
- The group invested in a digital print factory in Hangzhou and extended the range to silk eye masks, pillowcases, bonnets and scrunchies.
- Digital printing runs in house on fabric widths of 90 cm, 114 cm, 140 cm and 190 cm.
- Screen printing is handled by a nearby partner factory with 15 years of print experience.

Do I Approve Anything Before Bulk
Yes. A sample is produced for pattern, colour, size and quality approval before the bulk run is scheduled.
How Are Goods Shipped
DHL, FedEx, UPS and TNT are the carriers we use most, and you can nominate the mode, the forwarder, or delivery on to your own customer.
