What A Silk Pillowcase Changes
A smooth silk surface lets hair and skin glide instead of catching, which reduces tangles, frizz and breakage. Silk absorbs less moisture than many other pillowcase fabrics, so skin and hair stay better moisturised, and the low absorption also helps prevent the staining associated with heavy sweating.
Standard Sizes
Three sizes cover most markets: 51 x 66 cm, the standard size, which is 21 x 26 inch; 51 x 76 cm, queen size, which is 21 x 30 inch; and 51 x 91 cm, king size, which is 21 x 36 inch. Other sizes are made to a customer size sheet.
Closure Styles
Three closures are in normal production: envelope, zipper and Oxford. Envelope is the simplest and has nothing that can catch hair. Zipper holds the pillow tightest. Oxford adds a flat border around the panel.
Weight And Certification
Pillowcases are made in 16, 19, 22 and 25 momme and heavier. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 material is available, which is the certificate most retail buyers ask to see for a skin-contact product.
