Silk scarves are hand wash only. Use cool water and a mild detergent, move the piece gently rather than wringing it, and rinse until the water runs clear.

Drying

Keep silk out of direct sun to dry. Silk protein absorbs ultraviolet light, and that absorption is what makes silk yellow over time, so a shaded, airy spot is better than a windowsill.

Ironing And Storage

Press on the reverse at a low setting while the piece is still slightly damp. Store folded or rolled away from light, and keep printed pieces separated so colours do not transfer under pressure.
