A Line Is Only As Reliable As The Weakest Unit In The String
Three problems come up on nearly every enquiry, and all three are decided before the purchase order is placed.
Hidden Failures
A cracked porcelain disc keeps its shape and hides the fault. A toughened glass shell shatters and leaves the cap and pin in place, so a zero-value unit is visible from the ground or from a helicopter.
Pollution Flashover
Salt fog, cement dust and chemical fallout bridge a standard shed. Anti-fog, double shed and open aerodynamic profiles raise creepage distance or let the wind clean the surface instead.
Documents That Do Not Match
Failing load, routine test load, creepage distance, coupling size and net weight are published for every type, with type test reports from XIHARI and the national ceramic testing center.
Inside The Plant In Luxi County
Equipment imported from Germany and Italy, one natural-gas electric melting kiln and two production lines, with a routine tensile load test on every single piece.
Pressing and tempering
Glass is melted, pressed into shells and tempered on two modern lines built around equipment imported from Germany and Italy.
Workshop floor
The 17,200 m² plant holds work in progress between tempering, cold and hot shock testing and homogenisation.
Process control
ERP, MES and CRM systems connect raw material traceability through to shipment records.

47 acres in Shangbu Town Industrial Park, Luxi County, Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province.
In service
Products go into transmission and grid construction projects at home and in more than 40 export markets.
Customer visits

What load classes can Huayao supply?
Toughened glass discs from 40 kN to 550 kN, covering 10 kV to 500 kV AC and DC lines, plus porcelain disc, pin, post, spool, shackle and stay types for distribution work.
Are you a trading company or the factory?
Huayao is the manufacturer. Melting, pressing, tempering, cold and hot shock, homogenisation, cementing, curing, inspection and packing all happen on our own 47-acre site in Luxi County, Jiangxi.
Which standards do the products follow?
GB, ANSI, BS, DIN, AS and IEC. Type test reports come from Xi'an High Voltage Apparatus Research Institute Co., Ltd. and the National Ceramic Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center.
How large is your annual capacity?
Six million pieces of AC and DC glass insulators a year, from one natural-gas electric melting kiln with about 50 m² of melting area and two production lines.
Which markets do you already ship to?
Products have been exported to more than 40 countries and regions, including the Middle East, South Africa and Southeast Asia.
Can we appoint our own inspector?
Yes. Huayao welcomes buyer-appointed third-party inspection by Intertek, BV, SGS or an equivalent body, and customers are welcome to visit the plant.
