What this model is for

The PF1602 is a fixed-mount area imager designed to be dropped into a kiosk or sat on a counter and left alone. It reads mainstream 1D and 2D codes and performs OCR on the MRZ of ICAO 9303 documents — passport, ID card and visa — from the same window.

Its CMOS global shutter at 1,300,000 pixels (1280 x 1080) removes the motion smear that rolling-shutter modules produce on a swiped document, with a quoted decoding speed of 120cm/s and reading precision of 4 mil / 0.1mm (PCS90%, Code 39). It is plug and play with no driver, sleeps and wakes automatically, and is rated from -20°C to 50°C, which covers cold-chain warehouse use.
