ANSI Water Centrifugal Pump | CN Series
Pump is for water application
- Size 1″ – 10″
- Capacity Q max 400 m³/h
- Design and Manufactured Standard ANSI/ASME B73.1
Material: Cast Iron, Carbon Steel, SS304
The CI series is an end suction centrifugal pump built to ISO 2858. It uses a back pull out design for easy maintenance and a single mechanical seal.
ISO 2858 fixes the external dimensions of the pump and ISO 5199 sets the technical requirements for the class. Because both are followed, a CI pump is fully interchangeable with other brands built to the same standard, and the back pull out layout lets the rotating assembly come out of the casing with the casing and pipework left undisturbed.
Dimensions to ISO 2858 and technical requirements to ISO 5199.
The pump exchanges with other brands built to the same ISO standard.
Listed as a core advantage of the series.
A heavy casing and power frame for continuous water duty.
The layout is compact and saves plant space.
The rotating element is withdrawn from the drive end without disturbing the casing or the pipework.
General water duty across the 50×32-160 to 250×200-400 size range.
Circulation duty where a standardised ISO 2858 envelope is specified.
| Problem | How the CI Series Answers It |
|---|---|
| The Existing Pump Is No Longer Supported | A CI pump to ISO 2858 exchanges with other brands of the same size. |
| Overhaul Means Breaking the Pipework | The back pull out design removes the rotating element from the drive end and leaves the casing in line. |
| Running Costs Are Too High | High efficiency and energy saving are listed advantages of the series. |
| The Duty Needs a Stainless Wetted Part | Cast iron, SS304 and SS316 are available. |
| Pump Size | 50×32-160 up to 250×200-400 |
|---|---|
| Capacity | up to 500 m³/h |
| Head | up to 80 m |
| Design Standard | ISO 2858 / ISO 5199 |
| Construction | Back pull out, end suction |
| Shaft Seal | Single mechanical seal |
| Material | CI, SS304, SS316 |
The standard material for the series.
Listed as available for the CI series.
Stainless option for treated and cleaner water.
Higher grade stainless option.
Casings and impellers are machined in house, staged through the parts store and assembled into complete sets. Finished pumps are coupled up on the test bench with the suction and discharge lines connected before they are packed.
Casings and impellers in the specified material.
Machining bays under overhead travelling cranes.
Machined parts and hardware held ready for assembly.
Rotating element, casing, coupling and motor on the baseplate.
The set is run on the test bench before packing.
The options below are the ones listed for this series. Tell us the liquid, the temperature, the duty point and the flange standard on site and we will confirm the build.
| Series | Standard or Type | Summary |
|---|---|---|
| CN Series | ANSI/ASME B73.1 | Pump is for water application |
| CI Series (this product) | ISO 2858 | Material: Cast Iron, Carbon Steel, SS304 |
| KCP Series | Horizontal Single Stage | Horizontal single-stage, back-pull-out, PP / PE / UHMW-PE |
| DE Series | DN 25 – DN 400 | Size DN 25-400 mm, Flow Q ≤ 600 m³/h |
| FA Series | BS EN733 / DIN24255 | Flow 2-1100 m³/h, Head 2-152 m, BS EN733 / DIN24255 |
| VNP Series | Vertical Single Stage | Vertical sump pump for water and waste water. Pump material is PP. |
Flow, head, liquid, temperature and supply frequency decide the size. Give the normal duty and the maximum duty if they differ.
The wetted material is chosen for the liquid, not for the pump. Check the materials listed above against what you are pumping.
See the installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance notes in the service section before the pump arrives on site.
