Uzbekistan — Cold Chain Logistics Facility

Uzbekistan — Cold Chain Logistics Facility

Large-scale cold-chain logistics facility — Belt & Road Initiative partner.

  • Large logistics hub
  • -18℃ to -25℃
  • 180 days
  • 2022
Project Overview

Background And Requirement

Central Asian fruit production is growing rapidly, but cold-chain infrastructure has not kept pace. This Uzbekistan project — a large-scale fruit and vegetable cold storage near Tashkent — was commissioned by a major regional distributor serving the Russian and Central Asian fresh-produce markets.

Howcool delivered full EPC including engineering, equipment supply, container shipment, on-site installation (by our Tashkent-based team), and 24-month ongoing support. The facility handles mixed fruit and vegetable loads with multi-temperature zones: +2℃ for grapes and stone fruit, +4-8℃ for tomatoes and peppers, +10-12℃ for tropical fruit from southern partners.

The Tashkent office (established specifically for this project) continues to support ongoing service, provides spare parts inventory for the region, and has since led additional Howcool installations across Uzbekistan.
