What Ref 210 Actually Is
Reference 210 is a built-up letter: a face plate with welded returns, so the letter stands off the wall and casts its own shadow, made in mirror polished stainless steel with a full mirror polish. It is not a stock item. The photograph shows one set we built; what you receive is the same construction cut to your own letters, your own height and your own colour.
A mirror face borrows the colour of whatever is in front of it, which is why it suits lobbies, boutique frontages and dark cladding where a matt letter would disappear.
Letters are computer-cut for precision, fully welded, and painted to the PMS or RAL reference you supply.

Artwork stage
Artwork is redrawn as cutting paths and the face is cut from 6 mm or thicker plate

Returns are formed to the depth you specify and welded to the face all round

Welds are ground back and the whole letter is finished to a single grain or polish

Studs are welded to the back and a 1:1 template is drilled from the same file

Mirror faces show handling marks, so they are wrapped individually and unwrapped only at installation.
Welds are ground back before the finish is applied, so the grain or polish runs across the joint rather than stopping at it. Faces are checked against the approval drawing for letter spacing and stroke weight before packing.

What stainless grade do you use?
Stainless steel 304 or 316, chosen on request. 304 suits ordinary inland exposure; 316 is the better choice near the coast or anywhere with a high salt or chemical load.
Do you work from our own artwork?
Yes — that is the normal way we work. Send vector artwork and we cut from it. If all you have is a sketch or a photograph, we will redraw it and send the drawing back for approval first.
Is there a warranty on the letters?

What lead time should we plan for?
