What Ref 202 Actually Is
Reference 202 is a built-up letter: a face plate with welded returns, so the letter stands off the wall and casts its own shadow, made in mirror polished stainless steel with a full mirror polish. It is not a stock item. The photograph shows one set we built; what you receive is the same construction cut to your own letters, your own height and your own colour.
A mirror face borrows the colour of whatever is in front of it, which is why it suits lobbies, boutique frontages and dark cladding where a matt letter would disappear.
Letters are computer-cut for precision, fully welded, and painted to the PMS or RAL reference you supply.

The same four stages run on every set, which is what makes a repeat order match the first one.
Artwork stage
Artwork is redrawn as cutting paths and the face is cut from 6 mm or thicker plate
Returns stage
Returns are formed to the depth you specify and welded to the face all round
Welds stage
Welds are ground back and the whole letter is finished to a single grain or polish
Studs stage
Studs are welded to the back and a 1:1 template is drilled from the same file

Materials and Quality Control
Material and Finish Notes
Mirror faces show handling marks, so they are wrapped individually and unwrapped only at installation.
Welds are ground back before the finish is applied, so the grain or polish runs across the joint rather than stopping at it. Faces are checked against the approval drawing for letter spacing and stroke weight before packing.

Do you quote installation as well?
We manufacture and ship; installation is carried out by your own fitter or a local sign contractor. The 1:1 template and pre-welded studs are what make that straightforward.
Can you match our brand colour?
Yes. Letters can be lacquered in any colour — send the RAL or Pantone reference and we match to it rather than to a colour name.
Can you supply a mixed set of materials?
Yes. A logo in one material next to lettering in another is built as a single assembly so the alignment is set in the workshop, not on the wall.
How thick are the letters?
Material starts at 6 mm and goes thicker on request. The right thickness depends on letter height and how close people get to the sign.
