What Ref 124 Actually Is
Reference 124 is a full built-up lettering set, fabricated as one job so stroke weight and return depth stay identical across every character, made in brushed stainless steel with a directional satin grain. It is not a stock item. The photograph shows one set we built; what you receive is the same construction cut to your own letters, your own height and your own colour.
A brushed grain scatters reflections instead of mirroring them, so the letter reads as a solid shape from across a forecourt and fingerprints from installation do not sit on the face.
Letters are computer-cut for precision, fully welded, and painted to the PMS or RAL reference you supply.

Artwork stage
Artwork is redrawn as cutting paths and the face is cut from 6 mm or thicker plate

Returns are formed to the depth you specify and welded to the face all round

Welds are ground back and the whole letter is finished to a single grain or polish
Studs stage
Studs are welded to the back and a 1:1 template is drilled from the same file

Materials and Quality Control
Material and Finish Notes
Grade 316 is the sensible choice within a few kilometres of the sea; 304 covers ordinary inland exposure.
Welds are ground back before the finish is applied, so the grain or polish runs across the joint rather than stopping at it. Faces are checked against the approval drawing for letter spacing and stroke weight before packing.
