A jacket that keeps rain out and traps sweat inside fails in the field just as badly as one that leaks. This is why our specifications carry two numbers rather than one: the water column measured to JIS L 1092 B and the moisture vapour transmission measured to JIS L 1099 B-1. Styles in the range record water columns from 2,000mm to 30,000mm and vapour permeability from 2,000 to 25,000 g/m2/24h, depending on the laminate. Your technical buyer can then place each style against the target for its end use rather than against a marketing word.

Commuting, hiking and workwear tolerate very different vapour loads. The target figure comes first, then the fabric.
Pick the laminate
Two-layer constructions keep weight and cost down. Membrane laminates raise the water column and the price with it.
Confirm the finish
A PFC free water repellent surface treatment is available where the specification records it.
Sample and test
Sampling is confirmed per programme. Send your spec sheet with the target figures and we quote against them.

JIS L 1092 for water resistance and DWR rating, and JIS L 1099 B-1 for vapour permeability. The figure and the standard appear together in each product specification table.
What water column can you supply?
Styles in the current range record figures from 2,000mm to 30,000mm. Anything outside that is confirmed per programme.
