We design and make samples according to drawings or ideas. Sample design, product design, colour design and creative design are all handled in the workshop, and exclusive design work is kept confidential so the customer copyright stays with the customer.
Step by Step
Brief and artwork
You send the digital artwork or the idea, with the size and the use of the finished piece.
Outline drawing
The image is redrawn as an outline design suited to raised clay line, since glaze needs a line to hold it.
Colour proposal
Glaze colours are selected and mixed from the six base glazes and test fired where the match is critical.
Sample making
A fired sample is produced, normally within 15 days, and photographed for your approval.
Approval and release
On written approval the drawing and glaze recipes are recorded for production and for repeat orders.
