Why Weight Matters More Than It Sounds

A ring is worn continuously or it is worn never. Sleep data, overnight heart rate and 24 hour activity all depend on the wearer not taking it off, and the difference between 3.8 g and a heavier build is the difference between a habit and a drawer.

The Sensor Stack

Our rings combine photoelectric sensors, an accelerometer, an optical heart rate sensor and an optical blood oxygen sensor, running simultaneously. The accelerometer handles movement, step counting and sport modes. The optical sensors sit against the underside of the finger, where the tissue is thin and the signal is cleaner than at the wrist.

What Each Model Reports

  • Sleep monitoring on every published model
  • 24 hour and real-time heart rate monitoring
  • Real-time blood oxygen monitoring
  • Blood pressure monitoring on several models
  • Daily activity and 24 hour exercise data monitoring
  • Multiple sport modes recording heart rate, speed and time
  • Remote photo capture by shaking the ring through the app

Sealing And Charging

Every published model is IP68 waterproof and dustproof, which is what allows the ring to stay on through hand washing. Charging is magnetic, with capacities from 18 mAh to 23 mAh; the ceramic model includes a charging case with its own 400 mAh battery, and a charging case is offered as an option on the enamel model.

A Note On Health Claims

These are consumer wellness products. Sensor outputs are for general fitness and lifestyle tracking, and marketing copy in your destination market should be reviewed against local rules on medical claims before launch.

Questions On This Topic

Which model is the lightest?

The 3.8 g models: the stainless steel with resin inner shell, the enamel finish and the NFC access control ring.

Do the rings include a charging case?

The zirconium nano-ceramic model includes a charging case with a 400 mAh battery. The enamel model offers a charging case as an option.

Is there an access control model?

Yes, a 7 mm ceramic-surfaced NFC ring that combines smart access control with the health and exercise sensors.
