The nasopharyngeal airway is passed through the nostril to the posterior pharynx and is tolerated at a lighter level of consciousness than an oral airway, which is why it is reached for when the gag reflex is still present. Thirteen sizes run from 3.0 to 9.0 in white transparent, blue or green, with a bevelled tip to ease passage. EO sterilised, one per blister pack.
