Rolled latex strips are still the default in many collection rooms. The latex free replacement is a TPE band at 1 x 18 x 0.025 inches, supplied flat, on a roll, in individual rolls or with a press stud closure. The buckle tourniquet is also latex free, using cotton webbing with an ABS buckle.

Mask Straps Are The One Buyers Miss

An oxygen or nebulizer mask can be entirely PVC and still arrive with a latex elastic strap. Across this mask range the strap is specified with or without latex, so it has to be stated on the order rather than assumed.

Breathing Bags On Anaesthesia Circuits

The circuit tubing may be PVC while the breathing bag is latex. Anaesthesia breathing circuits here are offered with latex or latex free breathing bags at 1 L, 2 L and 3 L. Specify the bag material separately from the circuit type.

Catheters Split Cleanly

Foley catheters come as silicone coated latex or all silicone. All silicone is the latex free option and is also the one specified for long term placement. External male catheters follow the same split, with the silicone version transparent and EO sterilised at 160 mm.

Tracheostomy Tubes And Pressure Infuser Bulbs

Tracheostomy tubes in this range are transparent latex free medical class PVC. The pressure infusion cuff, however, uses durable latex rubber with a latex or PVC bulb, so PVC has to be specified where latex is not acceptable.
