Classroom Board Fit Out
From a room schedule to boards on the wall, this is how a school or university board package is specified built and shipped.
Where Projects Go Wrong and How We Handle It
Each stage lists the problem first and what we do about it second.
Requirement
Room schedule, wall widths and projector positions are unknown at quotation stage and drive every later decision.
Send the room list with wall dimensions. We come back with a board system per room type rather than one board repeated everywhere.
Board System
A single fixed board runs out of writing space, and a projector on the same wall makes it worse.
Rise and fall for tall walls, push pull where a projector shares the wall, folded boards where the wall is short.
Surface
Resin coated surfaces wear faster in rooms taught in all day.
Ceramic coated green or white writing steel for heavy use rooms, resin coated elsewhere, both from our own coil line.
Sizing
Board runs longer than three metres cannot be made as one panel.
Under three metres we build one board. Over three metres we build two boards that work together across the wall.
Build
Frame quality decides whether a board still sits square after a few years.
Aluminium frames and ABS corners are produced here and fitted to boards laminated in the same works.
Shipping
Board packages are bulky and expensive to ship badly.
Boards are packed and loaded by room so a 40'HQ container arrives ready to distribute. Around 30 days for one container.
