Three Measurements Decide The Fit

Pet apparel size charts look complicated because they carry several numbers per size. In practice three of them do the work, and our apparel charts publish all three where the style is graded.

Chest	Girth at the widest point behind the front legs. The number that decides whether the garment closes.
Back	Neck base to tail base. The number that decides whether the garment covers.
Neck	Where a collar sits. Matters on hoodies and coats with a closed neck.
Pet weight	A cross-check only. Two dogs at the same weight can need different sizes.

Why Weight Is The Column That Misleads

Most returns in pet apparel come from a buyer sizing on weight alone. A muscular short-legged dog and a lean tall dog can weigh the same and need two different sizes. Our charts publish the weight range because customers expect it, but the chest and back are what the pattern was cut to.

Grades Run Further Than You Expect

Materials Behind The Grades
