Weedless Propellers Two Blade And Three Blade
Why the T Series uses a 2-blade machete propeller and every other series uses a 3-blade, and what that means on the water.

Hightime fits a weedless machete propeller to every motor in the range. There are two versions: a 2-blade on the T Series and a 3-blade on every other series.
What Weedless Actually Means
A machete blade is swept back so that weed and monofilament slide off the leading edge instead of wrapping the hub. It does not make the propeller immune to fouling, but in a weeded margin it is the difference between a session and an afternoon spent leaning over the transom.

Damage And Wear
Blade damage shows up as vibration through the shaft and tiller, and as a drop in top speed. Chipped or bent blades unbalance the propeller, which loads the shaft bearing. Replace rather than straighten.
Fitting And Removal
- Disconnect the battery before touching the propeller
- Hold the propeller, remove the nut and washer, then draw the propeller off the shaft
- Clear line and weed from the shaft and behind the hub
- Check the drive hardware and replace it if it is deformed
- Refit, tighten the nut and turn the propeller by hand to confirm it runs true
Spare Propellers
Distributors normally hold a spare propeller and drive hardware per unit sold. Tell us the series and we will quote the matching propeller as a spare part line.
