1000-hour salt spray test for LED lights
With the help of our Japanese partners, our samples for LED outdoor lights passed a 1000-hour salt spray test.
A neutral salt spray chamber holds a fixture in a constant salt fog, which accelerates the corrosion a seafront site would cause over years. Running to 1000 hours puts our outdoor housings at the demanding end of that scale. What we inspect afterwards is not just the paint: it is the fastener interface and the gasket face, because those are what actually decide whether a fixture keeps its IP rating in year three.
