Quality Control Packing And Export
EVT's published markets are Canada, the United States, Germany, France, Italy, Norway, Finland and Switzerland. Getting goods to those markets in a condition the buyer agreed to is the part of the job that happens after the interesting decisions have been made.
A quality problem found in the destination warehouse is a credit note. The same problem found at the factory is a morning's work.
- Pre Production CheckFirst production pieces are compared against the retained reference sample before the line runs on. This is the cheapest check in the whole process and the one most often skipped.
- In Line CheckingChecks continue through the run rather than only at the start. Weight, shade, coating adhesion and dimensions are sampled across the production. A run that starts right and drifts halfway through is the common failure, and it is only caught by sampling throughout.
- Packing VerificationInner counts, outer counts, carton dimensions, carton marks, barcodes and labelling are checked against the written packing specification. Packing is where an otherwise good order fails at the retailer's door, because nobody checked the barcode until it was scanned in the depot.
- Consolidation And LoadingGoods from different factories are consolidated and the container loaded to a plan. Loading order matters when several product groups share a container and one of them is going to a different depot.
- DocumentationCommercial invoice, packing list and shipping documents are issued by the London company. Contracts, invoices and correspondence run through a UK registered entity, which is a different proposition from a direct factory purchase.
- After ArrivalClaims and queries go back to the same contact who placed the order and who has the retained sample. A claim is settled far faster when the person answering it can put the shipped goods next to the approved reference.

The published markets are Canada, the United States, Germany, France, Italy, Norway, Finland and Switzerland. Other destinations are quoted on request.
Do you inspect before shipping?
Yes, against the retained reference sample. Inspection against a catalogue photograph is not inspection.
Who issues the invoice?
EVT Enterprise Ltd, registered in London. The Hong Kong office handles the factory side of the same order.
What happens if a shipment is wrong?
Email the order reference and photographs to the contact who placed the order. The retained sample is the reference the claim is judged against.
Start With A Specification
A drawing, a spec sheet or a competitor sample is enough to begin. A photograph on its own is the weakest starting point.
