Lumbar support belt fitted on a patient, produced for private label buyers

How we work

OEM and Private Label Manufacturing

Put your brand on a range that has been in production since 1995 rather than on a range that starts at your order.

Most buyers who ask about private label are not starting a catalogue. They already sell orthopaedic supports under their own name and want the next generation made somewhere the sizing will not drift. Da Gao has produced this range since 1995, so the private label work sits on top of established lasts, patterns and article numbers rather than on top of a first production run.

Stage by Stage

Where Each Step Usually Breaks and What Happens Here Instead

Specification

Problem. A brief written against a competitor's catalogue rarely maps onto what any factory has tooled, so the first quotation comes back against the wrong thing.

How it works here. You send the articles, sizes and quantities. We confirm which are already tooled here and which would be a change, before anyone quotes.

Artwork and Labelling

Problem. Branding decided after production starts means reprinted cartons, relabelled units and a delayed shipment.

How it works here. Product branding, retail pack artwork, carton marking and barcodes are proofed before production rather than after.

Materials

Problem. A material substituted quietly between orders changes the feel of the product and the customer notices before the buyer does.

How it works here. The constructions are documented under the quality system: three-layer bonded splints, medical grade poly-foam collars, semi-rigid soles around a forefoot support.

Production

Problem. Split production across workshops and the same article arrives built two different ways.

How it works here. Cutting, sewing, gluing, pressing and packing all run on one site with more than 160 types of equipment, under ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016.

Inspection

Problem. A defect found at the destination warehouse is a shipment already paid for.

How it works here. Inspection runs before pairing and packing, with 11 technical staff supporting process and product control.

Packing

Problem. An even split across a size run leaves the ends of the curve on the shelf and the middle out of stock.

How it works here. The size assortment per carton is set to the mix you actually sell, and the carton marking follows your distribution channel.

Export

Problem. Paperwork assembled after the container is booked is what delays clearance.

How it works here. We have shipped to the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia and Japan, so the documentation set is familiar rather than improvised.

FAQ

Questions Buyers Ask Before Ordering

Can we put our own brand on the product itself

Yes. Branding goes on the product and on the retail packaging, with your carton marking and barcodes.

Do we have to redesign the products to private label them

No. The range is already tooled. Private label work normally means branding, packaging and assortment rather than a new construction.

Can you change a colour or a strap configuration

Tell us what you need and we will review it against the existing tooling. Some changes are a packing or trim decision, others need a new pattern.

What is the minimum order quantity for private label

It depends on the articles, the size assortment and the packaging. Email [email protected] with the list you are planning and the figures come back against that list.

How do we keep the next order identical to this one

The lasts and patterns are established and the constructions are documented under the quality system. That is what keeps a repeat order matching the first delivery.

Which categories can be private labelled

All of them. Post-op footwear, orthopaedic soft goods, kinesiology tape, mobility aids and first aid kits are all made here.
