Normobaric Oxygen
A concentrator and a hyperbaric chamber solve different equipment requirements. Compare the intended use, pressure, oxygen delivery, room and operating workflow before deciding whether a chamber belongs in the setup.
Normobaric oxygen means breathing extra oxygen at normal atmospheric pressure — 1 ATA. That is what happens when you use an oxygen concentrator and mask without a chamber: the oxygen concentration goes up, but the pressure stays at sea level.
Hyperbaric therapy adds a sealed chamber above normal atmospheric pressure. CONSIDER systems operate from 1.3–2.0 ATA and use model-specific oxygen delivery. Increased pressure allows more oxygen to dissolve into the bloodstream than concentrated oxygen alone at normal pressure. See what is hyperbaric therapy and ATA pressure explained .
A chamber adds pressure-vessel construction, room footprint, entry format, equalization, safety controls and maintenance. CONSIDER soft chambers include an all-in-one pressurization and oxygen unit; hard-shell systems use model-specific integrated equipment. - Choose a concentrator-only setup when the requirement is oxygen delivery at normal atmospheric pressure.
- Choose a soft hyperbaric package when you need a portable chamber for a home or wellness workflow.
- Choose a hard-shell system when you need a fixed professional installation, operator controls or higher capacity.
