Most buyers start with a catalogue part and end up needing something the catalogue does not hold: a different pin layout, a different coil voltage, a housing that clears a bracket, or simply the same unit under their own part number. CHINO ELECTRIC is a manufacturing enterprise rather than a trading company, so development work runs through our own production and QC documents instead of being passed to a third party.
Every Stage and What It Fixes
Enquiry
Problem: You have a failed original or a drawing and no confirmed source.
How we solve it: Send the OEM number, photographs of the connector face and the system voltage. We confirm within 24 hours whether it is a catalogue item, a variant of one, or new tooling.
Sample Review
Problem: A written specification rarely captures how the part has to seat in the loom.
How we solve it: Send the physical sample. We measure the housing, the terminal pattern and the electrical function, and we match against existing tooling before proposing anything new.
Design and Quotation
Problem: Unclear whether a change is a small modification or a new tool.
How we solve it: We come back with what can be modified on existing tooling, what needs new tooling, and what each route costs and takes, in writing.
Prototype
Problem: Committing to volume before the part has been on a vehicle.
How we solve it: Prototype units are made and function tested, then sent to you free of charge with freight at your cost so you can fit and test on the actual vehicle.
Validation
Problem: A part that works on the bench but fails in service.
How we solve it: Performance parameters are checked in our own laboratory and every unit gets a leakage test. Test videos are recorded so you can see the procedure rather than take it on trust.
Production
Problem: First production batch drifting from the approved sample.
How we solve it: Production follows the IATF 16949:2016 documented process with parameters and control points fixed for each step, against the approved sample.
Packaging
Problem: Parts arriving in packaging that does not suit your market.
How we solve it: Neutral packing, your own branded box with barcode, or the CHINO box. Artwork is confirmed before printing.
After Sales
Problem: No route back when something fails in the field.
How we solve it: 12 month warranty from B/L date. We reply within 24 hours and come back with a solution within 3 days, and we take responsibility when the fault is ours.

Do you charge for development work?
It depends on whether existing tooling can be modified or a new tool is needed. We tell you which case you are in, and what it costs, before any work starts.
Can you work from a failed original instead of a drawing?
Yes, and it is usually the better route. A physical sample tells us the housing, terminal pattern and function far more reliably than a description.
Will my design be offered to other buyers?
Raise this in writing at the enquiry stage and we will confirm the arrangement for your part number before development starts.
How small can a first production order be?
We accept small trial orders. Catalogue items start at 10 pcs; a developed part number is quoted case by case.
Are samples free?
The sample itself is free of charge. You cover the freight cost, which we confirm before shipping.
