W Platform Brushless Electric Boat Motor With Steering Wheel Control
The same brushless drive as the N platform, turned from a helm station instead of a tiller — five models from 80 LB to 180 LB, steered by wheel and cable.
What It Is
On the W platform the drive is steered through a mechanical wheel-and-cable system, so the operator stays at the console and both hands stay on the helm. Thrust, voltage and propeller speed match the N platform model for model; what changes is where the boat is driven from.
The standard stainless steel shaft is 32" rather than 42", which suits boats that carry a console and sit lower on the water. 24", 42" and 52" shafts are available. The steering wheel and cable system itself is an accessory option, so an existing helm can be reused.

How to Specify and Fit It
Confirm the transom can take the aluminium mount and that the helm position suits a cable run.
Choose shaft length against transom height — 32" is standard.
Wire the motor to a battery bank at the model's voltage: 12/24 V for the W100 up to 48 V for the W400.
Route the steering cable clear of the battery cable and test lock-to-lock travel before the first run.
