What It Is and What It Does
The BSM010P-T doubles the output of the 5 W panel for a little over a pound of extra weight, and at 0.59 amps of optimum operating current it moves from pure maintenance duty into light charging. It is the panel for a gate opener, a camera, a weather station or a leisure battery that actually gets used.
The cell layout is 36 multicrystalline cells at 78 mm × 26 mm in a 4 × 9 arrangement, and the module is rated to 1000 VDC system voltage and −40 °C to +85 °C. Module efficiency is 9.5 %, which is a substantial step up from the 5 W panel because the cells fill more of the frame.
