A 50.8 mm brass coin struck with full 3D relief
A challenge coin is carried, handed over and kept, so the relief has to survive being rubbed between someone's fingers for years. This one is produced in brass at 50.8 mm with 3D relief cut into the die, which holds depth that a printed or etched coin cannot. Unit insignia, mottoes and rope edges all come from the same tooling.
