The catalogue covers the sizes most crews ask for. Production is not limited to it: balls are made at 6cm, 12.6cm, 20cm, 25cm and 30cm.
Kits are assembled to order, which means the case, handles, bags and chart can be matched to the way a unit actually packs.
The Sequence
Eight Steps in Order
- Tell us the job. Describe the unit, the lens range and where the ball has to be placed.
- Choose a diameter. Pick from 6cm, 12.6cm, 20cm, 25cm and 30cm.
- Choose a finish. Full chrome, full grey, or a half mirror half grey split sphere.
- Choose a thread. 1/4 UNC for lighter fittings or 3/8 UNC for grip stands.
- Choose handles. Fixed carbon fibre handles or telescopic handles from 21 cm to 47 cm.
- Confirm packing. Hard case, polar fleece bags, cloth covers and a colour check chart.
- Quote. We confirm what is possible, what the dispatch window is and what shipping is included.
- Dispatch. Economy shipping by FedEx, DHL or a similar service with a tracking number.

Do I need both a chrome ball and a grey ball
Most crews shoot both. The chrome ball records the environment and the grey ball records how that environment exposes.
Can one ball do both jobs
Yes, a half mirror half grey ball carries both surfaces on one sphere. Separate spheres give a full hemisphere of each.
How often should reference be captured
Every time the lighting setup changes, not once per location. A reference describes one lighting state.
