We Make Reference Balls and Nothing Else
VFX Ball specializes in chrome balls and grey balls, in diameters of 6cm, 12.6cm, 20cm, 25cm and 30cm. Everything on this site is one of those two things, or the handles and cases that carry them.
Our products are produced for the film and television industry in post production. The grey scale is accurate and reaches the professional level through long term tests in post production, which is why we quote 18% reflectivity rather than a paint colour name. The surface of each ball is treated more than 20 times to maintain specular reflection.
Our products are handmade. They may have slight paint and finish defects, which do not affect their performance in any way. We would rather write that here than have it arrive as a surprise.
How We Ship
What Happens After You Order
- Production. Once your products are ready we deliver them. In the worst case we ask for up to 15 days for dispatch on made to order items.
- Stock items. The 10 inch chrome grey balls are held in stock with a shipping time of 7 to 8 days, and the 5 inch 50/50 ball ships in 3 to 5 days.
- Carrier. Transportation through FedEx, DHL or similar services is included in the price of economy transportation.
- Tracking. Once your order is delivered to the carrier we provide the tracking number.
- Deadlines. If you have a deadline to receive the product, email us before placing the order and we will make arrangements around it.
- Not included. The products do not include tripods. Handles are included with every listing.

Not on this site. If your procurement needs documentation, ask before ordering and we will confirm what can be supplied.
