Utility duty is high valve count, modest budget and a strong preference for one positioner family across linear and quarter-turn valves.
One family, both valve types
IP8000 lever type for linear valves and IP8100 rotary for quarter-turn, sharing a data sheet, a thread choice and a spares list.
Position feedback without extra boxes
The IP8100 outputs 4–20 mA for remote position detection; the YT-1000R takes an internal PTM instead of an external transmitter.
Simple site wiring
Eight-terminal switch boxes with ZG1/2 or NPT entries, and on-yellow / off-red indicator domes readable from the walkway.
Air consumption
The YT-1000 range draws 3 LPM at 20 psi, which matters when a small compressor feeds a lot of valves.
