An interchangeable blade set takes the bulk out of an insulated driver roll. Here is what to check before you specify one.
A full set of individual insulated drivers takes the space of a small tool bag on its own. The 13pcs VDE Interchangeable Screwdriver Set uses one PP and TPR handle with eleven blades, which covers slotted from 0.5x3x100mm to 1.2x6.5x100mm, Phillips PH1 and PH2, Pozidriv PZ1 and PZ2 and Torx T10 to T20.
The blades are CR-V 6150. On terminal screws that have been overtightened by a previous installer, blade steel is what decides whether the tip twists or holds.
A single-pole voltage tester is included. It is a first check, not a substitute for proving dead with a proper tester and a proving unit. Always confirm the tester itself against a known live point before trusting a reading.
Interchangeable blades are handled more often than fixed drivers, so the insulation sees more wear. Inspect each blade before use and take any blade with a cut or a dent out of service.
