Sizing, packing and what to ask before a container order
The unit price is the easy number. Boxes per carton, carton dimensions and destination handling are where the landed cost actually moves.
Sizing across a workforce
Every glove line here is published S to XL. Order profile matters more than the range: a mixed clinical workforce typically skews M and L heavily, and buying an even split across four sizes leaves you with unusable XS and XL stock at the end of the year.
The published packing
All four glove lines publish 100 pieces per box and 10 boxes per carton — a 1,000-piece carton. That makes volume arithmetic simple, but it does not tell you the carton dimensions or weight, which is what decides how many fit in a container.
Ask for cube, not just count
Request carton dimensions, gross weight and cartons per 20ft and 40ft container with the quotation. Gloves cube out before they weigh out, so the volumetric number is the one that sets the freight cost.
Labelling and marketplace requirements
If the stock is going into a marketplace warehouse, the carton marking requirements are set by that marketplace, not by the supplier. Raise it at quotation stage — relabelling a container after arrival costs more than getting the carton right.
Where this applies in the catalogue
The guidance above is general. Applied here, it lands hardest on the disposable gloves family.
