More scheduling is not always better. In rented and public buildings, the schedule is often the thing that goes wrong.
What a schedule actually saves
Setback during unoccupied hours is where the energy saving comes from. A building that empties every evening and weekend has far more to gain than one occupied continuously.
How much resolution is useful
Most of our programmable models hold six times and six temperatures per day. ST2303 and S2303RF instead offer 48 time slots with two temperature levels, which gives half hour resolution between a comfort and a setback level.
Why operators specify non-programmable
In hotels, rentals and care housing the operator sets the policy and the occupant sets a temperature. Removing the schedule removes the most common source of service calls, which is why so much of our range ships without one.
The middle ground
STN1220 holds four periods that repeat every day, under WAKE, LEAVE, RETURN and SLEEP. That covers a constant daily routine without a weekly schedule to maintain.
Getting both from one part number
Several platforms, including STN605, STN615 and the builder series, can be set to 7 day, 5/1/1 or non-programmable in setup. One SKU then covers scheduled and unscheduled rooms in the same building.

Can we stop occupants changing the schedule?
Yes. Keypad lockout is available on most programmable models, and setpoint limits cap the temperature range separately.
Do you preload schedules before shipment?
Yes. Send us the daily periods and we write them at the factory.
Does a manual override erase the programme?
No. It changes the current period only and the unit returns to the stored schedule.
