How to specify a current transformer
Most quotation requests arrive with only the window size and the primary current. Accuracy also depends on the burden, which is the total termination impedance of the measuring instrument, the connecting leads and the CT winding. Long lead runs alone can add measurable resistance.

Ratio
Primary and secondary current, for example 100/5A or 400/1A.

Accuracy class
Class 0.2, 0.5 or 1.0 for measuring, 5P10 or 10P20 for protection.

Burden in VA
Include the meter, the leads and the run length. Without it we cannot guarantee the class.

Window or busbar size
Cable diameter or busbar width and thickness in millimetres.

Mounting
DIN rail, side base, busbar mounted, split core or flexible Rogowski coil.

What does Qianwei manufacture

What do you need in order to quote a current transformer
The ratio you need, for example 100/5A, the accuracy class, the burden in VA, the window or busbar size, and the quantity. Burden matters: accuracy cannot be guaranteed without it, because the burden is the termination impedance of the measuring instrument.
Which certifications do you hold
