Branding Options For Motorcycle Accessories And Parts

• Easy. Printed soft goods. Covers, face masks, balaclavas, mats and bags take print or embroidery with no tooling. This is where a new brand should start.
• Medium. Anodised alloy parts. Levers, bar ends, grips and clamps take laser marking on a flat face. No tooling, but the marking area is small and it must be agreed against the actual machined surface.
• Hard. Anything that needs a mould change. A shell shape, a new buckle, a new insert pattern outside the published sizes. Feasible, but it is a project with its own timeline and cost, not a line on a price list.

Two things are stated outright on the original product pages. Motorcycle and bike covers can be produced in multiple colours, with your logo printed on them, and in custom sizes. Display floor mats are produced to custom artwork, with a Pantone reference used on the sample artwork.

Everything else should be treated as available on confirmation rather than assumed.

• Vector artwork, ideally as AI, EPS, PDF or SVG. A JPG from a website cannot be printed cleanly.
• Pantone references if colour matching matters to you
• The finished size of the print or the marking
• The product and pattern you want it applied to
• Quantity per design and per colour, because that is what decides price
• Any packaging requirement: header card, polybag, retail box, barcode

For a retail buyer, the box does as much work as the product. Decide early whether you need retail ready packaging or plain export cartons, because it changes cost, carton count and shipping volume. Send your barcode requirement at the same time as the artwork so it goes into the same sample round.

Approve a physical sample before production on anything branded. A print that looks correct on screen can sit wrong on a curved surface, and a laser mark that looks good on a black lever can be almost invisible on a silver one. Ask for the sample, photograph it, and sign it off in writing.
