• Full face. One piece shell with a fixed chin bar. The strongest structure and the quietest at speed. The default road helmet.
• Modular. The chin bar lifts. Popular with touring riders and anyone who stops often. Heavier than a full face because of the hinge.
• Dual sport. A full face shell with a peak and often a drop down inner visor. Sold to adventure riders.
• Motocross. Open face with a long chin bar and a peak, worn with goggles. Maximum airflow, no visor.

This is the part that decides whether a shipment clears customs and whether you can legally sell. Helmet certification schemes differ by region and a helmet certified for one market is not automatically saleable in another. One pattern in the Creease range is listed as ECE referenced.

Before any helmet order, do three things. Confirm in writing which certification applies to the exact pattern and shell size. Ask for the certificate document and check the article description matches what you are buying. Check your own market's requirement, including whether labelling and a printed manual in a specific language are mandatory.

A helmet range built on one shell size across all head sizes fits badly at the extremes and looks disproportionate on small heads. Ask how many shell sizes a pattern uses. Then check the interior sizing method, because a helmet sized only by liner thickness will feel very different at XS and XXL.

Graphic helmets photograph well and they are the fastest way to tie up capital. A graphic in the wrong size sits forever. Plain gloss and matt finishes turn over far more predictably. If you want graphics, order them in the two centre sizes only until you have sales data.
