Export Logistics and Documentation
Getting the unit onto the right vessel with paperwork your customs office accepts
Why This Workflow Exists
Landed cost, not factory price, decides whether an order made sense. Shipping mode, lashing, insurance and the exact wording on the invoice all move that number, and the paperwork decides whether the unit clears or sits at the port.
What Goes Wrong Without It
- Comparing factory prices while ignoring the freight difference between modes
- Invoice wording that does not match the import licence and holds the unit at the port
- Pre-shipment inspection discovered after the vehicle is already loaded
- No loading photographs, so transit damage becomes an argument
What You Decide and What We Do
Every step below names the decision that is yours and the evidence you receive. Nothing moves to the next step until the previous one is in writing.
How Export Logistics and Documentation Runs
We quote RoRo and container side by side where both are possible, with transit time, so you compare landed cost rather than unit price.
Trailers, machines and parts are planned into the smallest number of units, with the lashing method agreed before the booking.
You send the exact wording your import licence and customs need. Invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin are issued to match it.
Where your country requires pre-shipment inspection, the appointment is booked into the schedule rather than discovered at the port.
Loading and lashing photographs go to you before the vessel departs, so a damage claim later has a starting point.
We stay on WhatsApp through clearance and answer the technical questions your broker raises.
Ranges This Workflow Covers
The Rest of the Sourcing Chain
New Vehicle Sourcing
Getting a factory-built truck, trailer or machine specified correctly before any money moves
Used Stock Inspection and Purchase
Buying from the yard with enough evidence to pay the balance without guessing
Spare Parts Supply and Consolidation
Keeping an imported fleet running without paying air freight for a single filter
Questions About Export Logistics and Documentation
Is RoRo always cheaper than container
No. For a single tractor head it usually is. For trailers, machines and parts together, containers or flat racks can win once you count handling at both ends.
Which documents do you issue as standard
Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin, plus any pre-shipment inspection certificate your country requires.
Can you ship to an inland destination
We quote to the port as standard. Tell us the final destination and we will say what we can arrange beyond it and what is better handled by your own broker.
Who insures the cargo
Insurance is arranged according to the incoterm you choose. We set out what is and is not covered before the booking rather than after.
Start With the Step You Are Stuck On
You do not have to begin at the top. Tell us where the order is stalled and we will pick it up there.
