What IP Ratings Mean in Practice
IP20 means no protection against dust or water. It is suitable only for dry, indoor environments with no risk of moisture or contact with hands or tools.
IP65 provides full dust protection and resistance to water jets from any direction. It is used on fixtures installed in areas with occasional splashes, such as kitchen backsplashes or outdoor covered patios.
When IP67 and IP68 Are Required
IP67 means the product is dust-tight and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes. This rating is used on underwater LED strips and wall washers intended for swimming pools or fountains.
IP68 means the product is dust-tight and can be submerged continuously in water beyond 1 meter. It is used on strips designed for permanent underwater installation, such as in pools or decorative water features.
Which Products Carry Which Ratings
The silicone flexible LED strip range includes models with IP65, IP67, and IP68 ratings depending on the application. The underwater version is rated IP68.
The slim LED wall washer and adjustable retrofit downlights are available in IP67 and IP68 variants for outdoor or wet indoor use.

Which products have IP68 rating?

Can IP65 or IP67 strips be used underwater?
