The Problem With A Moving Supplier
When you buy through an intermediary, the part behind your part number can change without notice. The photograph stays the same and the specification sheet stays the same, but the tooling behind it has moved. That is how a stable listing turns into a run of returns.
Questions Worth Asking
Ask what material grade the part is and where that is stated. Ask what ships in the box. Ask what the part is known not to fit. A supplier who answers the third question honestly is worth more than one who claims everything fits.
How To Start Small
Start with a sample of the two or three part numbers you sell most. Fit one yourself. Then order a mixed carton before you order a pallet. Anyone unwilling to support that sequence is telling you something.
What To Agree Before Production
Material and finish, package contents, packing method, labelling and lead time. Getting all five into the quote document is what prevents the disagreement that otherwise happens after the container lands.
