The K1 is an electronic keypad deadbolt for interior and exterior wooden and metal doors. It is the model to specify when a door needs keyless access but the building has no Wi-Fi and no smart-lock gateway. Access codes are programmed from the keypad itself, and a traditional key remains available outside with a thumb turn inside.

Lockout behaviour is checked as part of function test: the keypad disables itself and sounds after repeated incorrect password attempts, and the low battery alert is verified before packing.
