Yes, roof prism models such as the WD66, WD67, WD76 8x42 and 10x42 are nitrogen filled and rated IPX7. They are built for wet weather use and are fogproof in temperature changes.
Are porro prism binoculars waterproof?
No, porro prism models such as the WP48 7x50, 10x50 and 12x50 are non-waterproof and are not nitrogen filled. They are only daily-life water resistant.
What is the difference between roof and porro prism layouts?
Roof prism models have straight barrels, are more compact, and are available with nitrogen fill and IPX7 rating. Porro prism models have a stepped body, larger 50 mm objectives, and use fold down eyecups. They are not waterproof.
