The labour, environmental and ethical standards we hold ourselves and our suppliers to.
Haining Jiahong Hardware Factory strives to follow the principles below and takes the measures necessary to ensure that the supply chain involved in our production process observes the same code of conduct.
Our Principles
- Freedom of association and collective bargainingWe respect the right of workers to form unions in a free and democratic way, we do not discriminate against workers because of trade union membership, and we respect the right to bargain collectively. We do not prevent workers’ representatives from having access to workers in the workplace or from interacting with them.
- No discriminationWe do not discriminate, exclude or show preference on the basis of gender, age, religion, race, caste, birth, social background, disability, ethnic and national origin, nationality, union membership or membership of any other legitimate organisation, political affiliation or opinion, sexual orientation, family responsibilities, marital status, illness or any other condition that could give rise to discrimination. Employees are not harassed or disciplined on any of these grounds.
- Fair remunerationWe respect the right of employees to receive fair remuneration that is sufficient to provide a decent living for themselves and their families, together with the social benefits granted by law.
- Decent working hoursWe keep employee working hours within what local law regulates.
- No child labourWe do not employ, directly or indirectly, children below the minimum age of completion of compulsory schooling as defined by law, which shall not be less than 16 years.
- No bonded labourWe do not engage in any form of servitude, or forced, bonded, indentured, trafficked or non voluntary labour. Employees are free to leave work and to terminate their employment on reasonable notice, and are not subject to inhumane or degrading treatment, corporal punishment, mental or physical coercion or verbal abuse.
- Protection of the environmentWe take the measures necessary to avoid environmental degradation. We assess the significant environmental impact of our operations and establish effective policies and procedures that reflect our environmental responsibility, with adequate measures to prevent or minimise adverse effects on the community, natural resources and the wider environment.
- Ethical business behaviourWe are not involved in any act of corruption, extortion or embezzlement, nor in any form of bribery, including the promising, offering, giving or accepting of any improper monetary or other incentive.
