Global manufacturing centers of excellence

A Swiss-type lathe is not necessarily made in Switzerland. It is a type of turning center developed for the Swiss watch industry, designed to turn small, complex, precision parts. Unlike a conventional lathe where the part is stationary and the tool moves, a multi axis CNC Swiss-type turning center moves the part in the Z axis while the tool stays fixed.

Bar stock is held in the machine and advanced through a guide bushing. Only the portion being machined is exposed, so the material is held tightly, deflection is virtually eliminated and accuracy increases. That allows complete machining in a single operation, and gives more capability with greater accuracy than a conventional CNC lathe running C axis live tooling.

All engineering for our China-based products originates in Hong Kong, with rigorous design change management keeping the portfolio aligned to customer needs and industry standards.

In Shenzhen and Huizhou we produce machined parts, injection molded assemblies and fiber optic solutions. A pilot production line enables rapid prototyping, process verification and performance evaluation before full-scale production. Testing facilities equipped with optical fiber connector test equipment verify reliability against GR and IEC standards, and quality is managed from incoming inspection through outgoing inspection, nonconformance and customer complaint handling.

The CNC machining centers are built for high precision work, producing complex parts to tight tolerances. Fiber optic assembly and production use current techniques for splicing, testing and packaging, for performance that critical communication infrastructure depends on.

Quality is the cornerstone here. The Taiwan operation holds ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, CPR, UL and RoHS 2.0. Working to prevention first and continuous improvement, potential issues are identified and resolved before they arise.

Ceramic ferrules are precision components used in fiber optic connectors to align and hold optical fibers in place. Made from zirconia, they are what keep insertion loss low and signal quality high. We produce these ferrules to strict industry standards for precision and durability.
