Importing a Special Purpose Truck From China Step By Step

  • Importing a special purpose truck from China begins with confirming the chassis type and body configuration needed for the job site conditions and local road regulations.
  • Select a chassis from Sinotruk HOWO or SITRAK, or one of the partner brands including Dongfeng, FAW, JAC, Shacman, ISUZU, and IVECO, based on payload, drive configuration, and fuel efficiency requirements.
  • Provide technical drawings or specifications for the body, including tank volume, material, internal baffles, pump type, spray bar layout, and hose reel placement.
  • Receive a quote with lead time, payment terms, and export packaging details after the design is confirmed.
  • Place the order with a 30 percent T/T deposit and agree on EXW, FOB, CFR, or CIF trade terms.
  • The factory builds the truck on the chosen chassis, with 100 percent testing completed before delivery.
  • Photos and videos of the completed truck are sent before the 70 percent balance payment is made.
  • The truck is shipped by Ro-ro, bulk ship, or container from a China main port, depending on volume and destination.
  • Upon arrival, the truck is inspected and tested locally. Overseas engineers may visit for technical training and support.
  • The whole vehicle is guaranteed for one year, with core parts of some products covered for two years.
