What This Grade Is For
Agricultural Hydroxyethyl Cellulose is supplied by Yiyuantong Chemical as a film former, suspension aid and binder for seed treatment, fertilizer and pesticide formulations. HEC spray can attach poisons to leaves; HEC can be used as a thickener for spray emulsions to reduce the drift of the agent, thereby increasing the application effect of foliar spraying. HEC can also be used as a film-forming agent in seed dressings; as an adhesive, it can be used for tobacco leaf recovery.

Yes. It is used as a film former on the seed and as a suspension aid in the formulated product. The grade differs between the two, so tell us which stage you are formulating for.
Does it affect germination?
The film is water soluble and releases as the seed takes up moisture. Confirm on your own seed lot and coating recipe before a commercial run.
Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
We are a manufacturer and you are welcome to visit the plant. Our hydroxyethyl cellulose project runs at 5000 tonnes a year on an acetone countercurrent washing process.
