What Each Scanner Does
The S19 and S20 are mini handheld RFID scanners designed for quick, reliable reading of implanted pet microchips. Both read tags at 134.2 kHz and 125 kHz, following ISO 11784 and ISO 11785 standards. They capture and display microchip ID numbers instantly, making them suitable for clinics, shelters, and individual pet owners who need to verify identity on the spot.
Where The Two Models Are The Same
Both scanners use a high brightness OLED display for clear visibility indoors and under direct sunlight. They each store up to 128 microchip records, support rechargeable lithium batteries, and are built for stable, easy operation. The core function—reading RFID microchip data—is identical on both models.
How The Models Differ
The S19 has no Bluetooth capability and relies on direct local data access. The S20 offers a version with Bluetooth for wireless data transfer to mobile devices or software systems. The S19 has a design similar to the RTO3 model, while the S20 features a more modern, compact form factor resembling a space capsule, which may improve grip and handling.
When To Choose S19
Choose the S19 if you need a simple, low-cost scanner that reads microchips and stores data locally. It is ideal for clinics with limited data integration needs, pet owners who want a standalone device, or small shelters managing a small number of animals without syncing to a central system.
When To Choose S20 With Bluetooth
Choose the S20 with Bluetooth if you need to transfer microchip data to a smartphone, tablet, or farm management software. This is useful for clinics that maintain digital records, shelters tracking adoptions, or veterinary teams working with integrated animal ID systems.
